BBNaija Season 9 is coming to an end! The housemates had their week 9 Head of House challenge and nominations today (September 23, 2024). From these activities, KellyRae and Sooj made it to the finale.

How Kelly Rae became a finalist of BBNaija Season 9
The housemates had their Head of House challenge earlier in the day. They had to complete a series of tasks, with the housemate that completes the tasks in the least time crowned the winner of the challenge and the new Head of House.
Luckily for him, Kelly Rae completed the tasks in the least time, making him the new Head of House. As you may already know, the head of house title comes with immunity from possible eviction in the week. This gave Kelly Rae a pass to the finale, making him the first finalist of the Big Brother Season 9.
How Sooj became a finalist of BBNaija Season 9
Sooj’s path to the finale was by escaping nominations in the Week 9 nomination show.
After the Head of House challenge, the housemates were each invited to the diary room to nominate two housemates for possible eviction from the show.
Luckily for him, Sooj escaped being nominated. Being free from possible eviction gave him a pass to the finale (joining Kellay Rae).

Unlike other weeks that big brother put up only those with more than one nomination, this week was different. Even those that got one nomination were put up for possible eviction.
Only Sooj who wasn’t nominated at all escaped being up for possible eviction. Thus, 9 housemates are up for possible eviction from the show come sunday. They are: Kassia, Victoria, Wanni, Onyeka, Ozee, Nelly, Anita, Topher, and Ocee.
Final Thoughts
Kellyrae is the first housemate to secure a spot in the finale. Sooj became the second. Kelly Rae made it by winning the Week 9 Head of House challenge, while Sooj made it by escaping nominations.
