Tolanibaj and Frood were evicted from the Big Brother Naija All Stars house during the week 5 eviction show. See how they were evicted.
Big Brother Naija All Stars Week 5 eviction
Week 5’s eviction show was different from the others before it. First, there was no jury decision. Only viewers’ votes counted toward sending evicting housemates home this time. Secondly, there was a double eviction.
Goodbye to the Big Brother Naija eviction jury
Biggie introduced the eviction jury in this season of the Big Brother Naija show.
The jury usually has the final say on who gets evicted from the house. After viewers have voted, the housemates with the least votes are sent to the jury, and the jury decides who gets evicted.
The jury system has seen some housemates sent home despite not having the least viewer votes. That happened with Princess’ eviction, when she had more votes than Seyi, who the jury saved, as well as in Uriel’s eviction (when she also had more votes than Seyi, who the jury saved).
It was only in the third eviction of the show that the jury’s decision agreed with the viewers’ votes, as Kiddwaya (who the jury sent home) had the least viewers’ votes.
Needless to say, viewers were usually unhappy with the jury’s decision. Viewers have incessantly criticized the jury’s decisions and have called on the organizers of the show to let only viewers’ votes send housemates home.
Big Brother finally listened to viewers’ yearnings as the jury system was discontinued.
Double eviction of week 5
Only Princess was evicted in Week 2, only Uriel was evicted in Week 3, and only Kiddwaya was evicted in Week 4. But two housemates were evicted in Week 5.
After voting for the week, the housemates with the least votes were:
- Seyi – 1.65%
- TolaniBaj – 1.55%
- Frodd – 1.22%
So the two housemates evicted from the Big Brother Naija All Stars house were TolaniBaj and Frodd.
Final Thoughts on the Big Brother Naija All Stars Week 5 eviction
Frodd and TolaniBaj have left the Big Brother Naija All Stars house. This means the house now has 15 real housemates and 4 house guests.
Any of the 15 real housemates can win the show. Who do you think is winning the show this season? What do you think about abolishing the jury system?
