Ike and Mercy initially starred in the Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season. Their love was like a match made in heaven. In fact, many fans thought that they’ll one day walk down the aisle.
Things also took off beautifully for them immediately after the Pepper Dem BBNaija season as they launched their own reality TV show (titled “Mercy and Ike”). But like most Big Brother Naija love affairs, the once amazing love story between Mercy and Ike turned sour.
We watched on as the one-time lovebirds threw vitriol at one another online.
What’s happening between Mercy and Ike now
It’s no longer news that Mercy and Ike are back together in the Big Brother house as part of the 20 housemates of the Big Brother Naija All Stars season.
Given the bitterness we’ve witnessed between the two in recent times, “Mercy vs Ike” was always going to be one of the 5 most interesting battles to watch out for in the Big Brother Naija All Stars season.
With these two, we never know what to expect. Would it be reconciliation or clashes?
During Mercy’s first diary session in the All Stars season, she said that she was most surprised to see Ike in the house because they weren’t talking at all, and she didn’t know how she’ll be in the confined house with someone she does not talk to.
When Big Brother probed, Mercy declared that there is no broken bridge to mend. That she’s moved on from Ike, and there’s no going back.
However, Ike seems to have other ideas. In a discussion with WhiteMoney (a fellow housemate in the All Stars season), Ike hinted at reconciling with Mercy and starting a “ship.”
Ike said, “I feel like I will ask Big Brother for flowers and a ring. I miss our moment so much.”
WhiteMoney asked if he was referring to Princess.
Ike replied, “No. For my Lambo, of course. I need to propose to her. I miss her soooo much.”
WhiteMoney: “Ike ooh! I thought you said you don’t want any distraction.”

No one can correctly make predictions when human emotions are involved.
While Mercy’s diary session suggests, there’s no going back to Ike.
Ike seems to be plotting a comeback.
