BBNaija Season 9 Week 1 Head of House Game
It’s not news that Big Brother comes with twists all the time. There was a twist in the Week 1 Head of House game – instead of competing in a game, the housemates voted.
So, it was a Head of House Ballot.
Biggie invited each housemate pair into the Arena and asked them to vote for another pair to be the Head of House pair.
The voting process was simple. First, the voting pair writes the name of their candidate on a tile. Then, they drop the tile into the ballot box bearing the name of their candidate.
At the end of the voting process, the housemate pair with the highest number of votes wins.
How the housemate voted
Remember that the housemates are contesting in pairs. So, they also voted as pairs. This is how they voted:

At the end of the ballot, Mbadiwe Twins and Radicals had 2 votes each, and the other housemates pairs had 1 vote each, except Aces and Ndi Nne who both had zero votes.
Thus, there was a tie between the Mbadiwe Twins and the Radicals.
Big Brother then asked the Custodians of the House (Ndi Nne) to break the tie by choosing the Head of the House from the Radicals or the Mbadiwe Twins.
The custodians picked Mbadiwe twins. And this made the Mbadiwe Twins the first Head of House Pair of the BBNaija “No Loose Guard” Season.
BBNaija Season 9 Head of House Privileges
In previous seasons of the BBNaija Show, the Head of House position comes with many goodies, including immunity from nominations for eviction in the week.
Sadly, there is no immunity attached to the Head of the House position in this season of the show.
They also don’t have the “Save and Replace,” which used to allow the Head of House to replace a housemate that is nominated for eviction with another housemate.
However, they still have the privilege of enjoying the Head of House lounge, which offers more privacy than the general house.
Another privilege that Big Brother gives the Head of House pair this season is being able to decide a punishment that will be given to housemates who commit minor infractions.
