This Foolish Jury Decision is Absolutely Bullshit – Fans React as Uriel is Evicted from the Big Brother Naija House

0

The Big Brother Naija All Stars Season witnessed its second eviction today (Aug 13, 2023) after three weeks of the show. Sadly Uriel was evicted despite not getting the least votes from viewers.

Once again, the Big Brother Naija jury overturned the viewers’ decision by sending home a housemate that the viewers’ votes would’ve saved.

See how it happened!

Fans of the show have been introduced to a new eviction process. After the viewers have voted, the two housemates with the least votes are sent to an eviction jury to decide who should be evicted.

How the Big Brother Naija viewers voted (week 3 eviction)

Viewers voted for the 17 housemates that were up for eviction. Remember that of the 19 housemates remaining in the house, only Ike (Head of House) and Frodd (Pardon Me Please challenge winner) got immunity from eviction for the week.

After the viewers voted, Seyi and Uriel got the least number of votes. Their names were sent to the jury.

How the Big Brother Naija eviction jury voted (week 3 eviction)

Big Brother brings 3 ex-housemates each week as jury members to decide who gets evicted from the housemates getting the least viewers vote.

Week three’s jury members were:

Big Brother Naija Week three eviction jury
  • Teddy A from Double Wahala season
  • Diana from Level Up season
  • Laycon from Locked down season

The three jurors voted to send one of Seyi and Uriel home. Two jurors voted to send Uriel home, while only one juror voted to send Seyi home.

So, Uriel became the second housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija All Stars season.

How the Big Brother Naija fans reacted

Many Big Brother Naija fans couldn’t understand why Seyi has been saved from eviction by the jury two weeks in a row.

Remember that Seyi got the least votes from viewers after week two’s voting. He got 0.89% of the votes cast, while Princess had 1.54% of the votes cast. But when Seyi and Princess’ names were sent to the jury to evict one person, Seyi was saved while Princess was evicted.

The same happened after week three’s voting. Seyi, who got the least amount of votes (1.7% of votes), was saved by the jury while Uriel, who got 2% of viewers votes, was sent home.

While Seyi and his entourage will be happy he got saved, fans of the show are not happy to see Seyi saved again.

See some reactions:

@TheMaleek questioned whether Seyi had not bribed the Jury before he entered the Big Brother Naija All Stars house.

Big Brother Naija fans react

@Dammiedammie35 went as far as calling the jury eviction process an absolute bullshit

@Onyeka_edith says still having Seyi in the house is senseless

@rxbodu, not accepting why Seyi is still in the house, and Uriel is going, says this jury process needs to end immediately.

@Instablog9ja question whether Seyi is using jazz (black magic)

The Big Brother Naija All Stars Poll

The Big Brother Naija organizers even did a poll on their official X page, asking fans of the show who the jury should send home between Seyi and Uriel, who got the least viewers’ votes.

As of writing this article, fans voted overwhelmingly for Seyi to be sent home. 82.3% of fans voted for Seyi to be sent home, while only 17.7% voted for Uriel to be sent home.

This showed what the fans’ wishes are – people wanted Seyi sent home, and not Uriel.

Final Thoughts

Seyi seems to have luck on his side. Going by the old system of eviction, he would have been the first housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija All Stars house. But the jury decided to send Princess home.

Luck worked for Seyi again in week three’s eviction. Seyi should’ve gone home, but the jury saved him and sent Uriel home instead.
