The Big Brother Naija Season 8, tagged ‘All Stars’ has officially launched. This special season has brought back some of your faves from previous seasons.
Who’s made it back into Big Brother’s house?
Meet the Big Brother Naija All Stars Season housemates as they were introduced into the house:
1. Cee-C
- Occupation: Lawyer, Filmmaker, Business Woman
- Previously starred in: Double Wahala
Who can forget the gorgeous Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly named as Cee-C, who starred in the Double Wahala season and went all the way to the finale?
Cee-C says she’s coming to do one better this time, as she finished as runner-up in 2008.
She’s promising top-notch drama, and there’s no doubt she can deliver premium drama. Who can forget the drama emanating from Cee-C’s bust-up with Alex that year or their eventual reconciliation?
2. Kiddwaya
- Occupation: Socialite
- Previously starred in: Lockdown
Who can forget Kiddwaya from the Lockdown Season? The man that won the battle for the star girl – Erica. Sweeping Erica off her feet and wrecking Laycon’s heart in the process.
Kiddwaya felt he was a kind of supporting cast to the others in his first outing, so he’s coming back to be the main star this time.
Kidd, as he’s fondly called, knows how to roll out entertainment, whether on the fitness floor or on the love bed. So watch out for him.
3. Doyin
- Occupation: Radiographer, Brand Influencer
- Previously starred in: Level Up
Remember Doyin David of the Level Up season, who described herself as a mix of Michelle Obama and Cardi B. Yes, that super-intelligent lady who also knows how to look chic and slay.
Doyin was one of the most misunderstood housemates of the Level Up season. She was that housemate that viewers loved but just didn’t love enough. She’s coming back to show you why you should love her 100%.
She says she’s coming to show her real personality and clear misconceptions about her.
4. Frodd
- Occupation: Club Owner, Fashionista
- Previously starred in: Pepper Dem
Frodd was one of the stars in the very noisy Pepper dem Season. His real names are Cukwuemeka Okoye. But he says he’s “Fresh and Odd,” clipping the two words to form the name “Frodd.”
Frodd in the Pepper Dem Season can be described as unpredictable.
He promises to be his unpredictable self in this Big Brother Naija All Stars Season. He adds that he’s “ready to give them hot hot.” So expect some hot fun from the Fresh and Odd man.
5. Uriel
- Occupation: Fitness Enthusiast
- Previously starred in: See Gobe
Who can forget Uriel from the See Gobe season? Ebuka describes her as the original queen of the diary room.
Uriel is coming back to dazzle your screens. She says this time, her confidence is 150%.
She adds, “I’m athletic, I’m strong, and I’m ready. I want to enter and scatter the place.”
She cheekily adds that she hopes her husband sees her on the show. So keep an eye on some lovey dopey from Uriel.
6. Pere
- Occupation: Actor
- Previously starred in: Shine Ya Eye
Pere, the General of the Shina Ya Eye season, is back. Who can forget his epic battles with WhiteMoney (the eventual winner of Shine Ya Eye season)?
Pere is back this time, and he’s prepared as he declared, “I know exactly how to play the game better than I did before.”
He adds that he’s back because he feels there are a couple of sides to him that the public didn’t get to see.
7. Princess
- Occupation: Businesswoman
- Previously starred in: Double Wahala
Princess had so much to offer but unfortunately left the Double Wahala Season really early. She came back with fire. She cheekily threw shots at Big Brother, saying Big Brother had apologized to her for letting her off very early the first time.
Coming back this time, she says, “If you dont like me, then you don’t like sugar.
8. Soma
- Occupation: Actor
- Previously starred in: See Gobe
Soma describes himself as a “Jack of all trades and master of all.” You probably know him as “Dave” in the TV show “My Siblings and I.” Yes, that Dave. That’s Soma.
Soma starred in the See Gobe season. However, he left the house very early, as he was in for just two weeks. Soma says he’s coming back because he feels like he has unfinished business. He adds that he’s gunning for the money.
He says everything is different this time around. He says he believes in second chances, and this is a second chance he’s gotten to redeem himself.
9. Angel
- Occupation: Writer, Poet
- Previously starred in: Shine Ya Eye
Angel! Angel!! Who can forget the eventful 21-year-old Angel of the Shine Ya Eye season? Angel made the word “slut-shaming” popular at the time.
From eventful romance to eventful “vawulence,” she’s got it all.
Despite reaching the finale of the Shine Ya Eyes season, Angel says she didn’t feel like she was in the season. So, she felt she should come back, and she’s coming to the Big Brother All Stars season ready.
She admits that she has more haters than fans but that she’ll give everyone a different side of Angel.
10. Neo
- Occupation: Entertainment sensation
- Previously starred in: Lockdown
Neo, the sweetheart of Vee in the Lockdown season. Who can forget those two?
Neo earned a reputation as one of the most strategic housemates because he beat the odds to reach the finale of the Lockdown season despite being one of the least favored to go all the way.
Ne says he’s coming back because he has an entertaining personality and like to be on TV. He adds that he can gist and will be bringing truckloads of interesting gist.
11. Alex
- Occupation:
- Previously starred in: Double Wahala
Alex worked herself to the finale in the Double Wahala season by being the life of the party. She says she is now more attuned with who she is and more confident. So expect even more “life.”
She promises to be herself, adding that being herself was her “power” the fist time she was in the Big Brother house.
But it appears Alex is not bringing “vawulence” this time around. She says, “I don’t see the need to fight over anything. It’s okay if you don’t agree with what I think.”
12. Seyi
- Occupation: Actor, Model
- Previously starred in: Pepper Dem
Since featuring in the Pepper Dem season, Seyi has gone on to be a successful actor and model. He’s married and now has a son. But he says he’s coming back to have fun.
He worked himself to the finale by enjoying himself on the show. He says that’ll also be his strategy this time. In his words, “I don’t have time for anyone”
13. Ilebaye
- Occupation: Lawyer, Model, Entrepreneur
- Previously starred in: Level Up
Illebaye calls herself “the Gen Z baddie,” and what a baddie she was in the Level Up season. Ilebaye was literally the life of the party in the season. She made parties come alive with sultry dance moves.
In fact, her lighting up the party led to her eviction – her fellow housemates felt threatened and put her up for eviction.
Ilebaye says the last time was an adventure, so she’s coming back to have more fun. She adds that she didn’t know anything about the show the last time she was there, but this time, she’s going in prepared.
14. Ike
- Occupation: Model
- Previously starred in: Pepper Dem
Ike starred in the Pepper Dem Season and won Mercy’s (the eventual winner) heart.
Ike admits he made a lot of friends then but stresses that he’s coming this time around for the money, not for connections.
He says he was distracted the last time he was in Big Brother’s house. But he’ll be more focused and give 100% gameplay this time. In his words, “this season my eye dey red.”
15. Venita
- Occupation: Actress
- Previously starred in: Pepper Dem
Big brother nicknamed her the Phoenix. She called herself Venita “rodo.” For those that don’t know what rodo is – it’s that very spicy pepper.
Venita says she’s coming with all her rodo-ness. She says she’s coming back to have fun and win the money.
In her words, “You’re now dealing with a woman who knows her game very well. I’ll be more strategic.”
16. Adekunle
- Occupation: Fashion Enthusiast
- Previously starred in: Level Up
Adekunle earned a reputation as a manipulative person (at least from rival fans) in the Level Up season. He was a finalist at the time. Now he wasn’t to push all the way to the N120 million prize.
He says he’s more aware and understands what he’s coming in to do now. Adekunle says he doesn’t have a strategy because he didn’t have a strategy in his first outing but outlasted the housemates with strategies.
He says he’ll bring top fun. In his words, “I’m introducing everyone to bad boy Deks”
17. Tolani-Baj
- Occupation: Disc Jockey
- Previously starred in: Lockdown
During the Lockdown season, Tolani-Baj (T-Baj) seemingly took time to warm up. That made her leave the Big Brother house early. But she exploded and became an online star outside the house.
T-Baj says the T-Baj she’s bringing to the Big Brother All Stars house is the T-Baj we’ve come to know. In her words, “I will be bringing sugar, spice, and everything nice”
However, you can expect some hard shots from her. Because she says she’s carefree, free-spirited, and says it how it is.
18. Cross
- Occupation: Tech enthusiast
- Previously starred in: Shine Ya Eye
Cross likes to describe himself as the “Baby boy.” Who can forget how he lit up the Shine Ya Eye season with his many romances? First was his unsuccessful pursuit of Saskay, who favored JayPaul. Then he’ll later switch to pursuing Angel.
Cross was a whole vibe in the house. He says he’s bringing back his fun self and more. He says he’s now more tech-savvy and coming to educate people about tech.
19. Mercy Eke
- Occupation: Reality TV star
- Previously starred in: Pepper Dem
Mercy Eke has worked her name into Big Brother Naija history books. Mercy won the Pepper Dem season to become the first female winner of the show.
While she had gone on to star in her own reality TV show, she has come back to grace the Big Brother screen. She says she’s coming back because “winners never stop winning.”
Mercy Eke calls herself the “Queen of highlights.” She says she’s coming to have fun and win the money. In her words, “I’ve done it before. So, it won’t be hard to do it again.”
20. WhiteMoney
- Occupation: Businessman, music artiste
- Previously starred in: Shine Ya Eye
WhiteMoney stole people’s hearts in the Shina Ya Eye season and went on to win the show overwhelmingly.
Who can forget his battle with Pere as the latter called him out for monopolizing the kitchen as a strategy?
While WhiteMoney won many hearts on his way to winning the Shine Ya Eyes season, some claimed he only got “sympathy votes.” WhiteMoney says he wants to correct that. He wants to show the world that he won because he deserved it.
He adds that apart from his bank account and skin color, nothing has changed about him – that he’s bringing his fun self.
