Big Brother Naija is in its second week, which happens to be the week that the first set of housemates will be evicted from the show. As such, the housemates all put their best in games to get immunity from the week’s eviction.
In addition to the Head of House challenge, Biggie introduces two other opportunities for getting immunity in the Big Brother Naija All Stars season. These are the Black Envelope challenge and the “Please Pardon Me” nomination.
Thus, three housemates won immunity from eviction in week two of the show:
- The winner of the Head of House challenge
- The winner of the Black Envelope challenge
- The winner of the Please “Pardon Me” challenge
Kiddwaya wins the Big Brother Naija Week 2 Head of House Challenge
Kiddwaya was literally drenched in sweat after the first round of the game. He qualified for the second round but only as runner-up. Little did he know he’ll go on to win the Head of House challenge and gain immunity for the week.
The BBNaija Season 8 week two Head of House challenge was a tasking game of balance. The housemates had to walk on a seesaw beam, taking balls (one at a time) from one end of the beam to a shallow bucket on the other end of the beam.
Eight winners emerged from the first round and qualified for the second round of the Head of House challenge. These are Ike, Ilebaye, Kiddwaya, Adekunle, Neo, Venita, Frodd, and Soma.
These eight played the second round of the Head of House challenge, and Kiddwaya emerged victorious to become the new Head of House. By virtue of winning the Head of House challenge, Kiddwaya gains immunity from week two’s eviction.
Angel wins the Big Brother Naija Week 2 Black Envelope game
Big Brother introduced the Black Envelope game this season. Several black envelopes are hidden in the house, with one having the content “immunity” and others having “better luck next time.”
The housemate who finds the “immunity” black envelope gains immunity for the week.
Angel won this week’s Black Envelope game and automatically got immunity from the week’s eviction. Kiddwaya and Neo found the other two back envelopes (with the “better luck next time” content).
By virtue of winning the Black Envelope game, Angel gained automatic immunity from Big Brother Naija Season 8, week two’s eviction.
Soma wins the Big Brother Naija week two Pardon Me Please Nomination
Big Brother introduced a new twist in the All Stars season. Instead of the usual eviction nomination, housemates were introduced to a “Pardon Me Please” nomination. They were told to nominate a housemate for possible immunity for the week.
At the end of the nominations, the housemate with the most nominations gets automatic immunity from eviction. Soma emerged victorious, polling 8 nominations (from Angel, Uriel, Adekunle, Cross, Princess, Alex, Seyi, and Kiddwaya).
With 40% of the Big Brother Naija All Stars housemates nominating Soma for possible immunity, it can only mean that Soma sold himself well to them and is loved inside the house.
His Twitter handler couldn’t help but tweet about the love Soma was getting from the Big Brother Naija All Stars housemates.
Final Thoughts
Three (3) housemates got immunity from week 2’s eviction. These are Kiddwaya (the winner of the Head of House challenge), Angel (the winner of the Black Envelope challenge), and Soma (the winner of the Please Pardon Me nomination session).
The other 17 housemates are up for possible eviction. So, who’ll be the first housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija All Stars season? Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
